Andrea M. Gurcsik, SPHR, SHRM-SCP Senior Manager, Global Talent Acquisition Andrea Gurcsik is the Senior Manager, Global Talent Acquisition for First Solar, the largest manufacturer of solar modules in the world. In this capacity, she is responsible for the following Talent Acquisition global functions: recruiting, vendor management, building talent strategies and social media campaigns. Prior to her taking this role in January 2016, she was responsible for managing First Solar’s human resource function for the company’s Perrysburg, Ohio and Bridgewater, NJ locations. She was previously employed at the TolTest, The University of Toledo, and S.E. Johnson Companies, Inc Currently she serves as the Communication Director for the Ohio Society for Human Resource Management State Council; sits on the Board of Directors for Owens Community College Foundation, and is currently the President for the March of Dimes Northwest Ohio Division. In the past she has she served as the Past State Director for the Ohio Society for Human Resource Management State Council and the Past Conference Chair for the Ohio Human Resource Conference, the Past President of the Northwest Ohio Human Resource Association Board of Directors and the Past President of the Owens Community College Alumni Association. Mrs. Gurcsik is a 1999 graduate of Owens Community College with a degree in business administration. She went on to earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from the University of Toledo. She was named the UT College of Business Administration’s “Young Alumni of the Year” in 2005 and in 2006 was a recipient of the Toledo area’s “20 Under 40” Leadership Award. A lifelong resident of Toledo area, Mrs. Gurcsik enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and their dog, Muddy, who is named after the Toledo Mud Hens mascot.
