
Biography - Cris Wildermuth
Cristina de Mello e Souza Wildermuth, M.Ed., M.A., is an author, master facilitator, and researcher specializing in leadership development and personality diversity. Cristina’s greatest passion is to help organizations position employees where they will be most productive. Cristina is the author of “Diversity Training,” published by ASTD and recently had articles published by the Journal of Commercial and Industrial Training and ASTD’s T&D magazine.
Cristina is a native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and speaks four languages – English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French. She travels extensively, developing leaders in major international cities such as Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City. Deeply committed to community leadership, Cristina has served on various positions at the Dayton ASTD board and is currently the vice president and president elect for the Lima, OH SHRM chapter. She is frequently invited to speak at regional, national, and international conferences.
Cristina was first introduced to the training field in 1988, when she was hired to culturally adapt Xerox Company’s training programs to the Brazilian business reality. After immigrating to the United States in 1992, she completed a master’s degree in Training and Development at Bowling Green State University. Currently, Cristina is working on a doctoral dissertation on the relationship between employee engagement and personality traits.
Cristina lives in Cridersville, OH, with her husband Mel, her daughter Marguerite, and a variety of pets (a chinchilla, two hamsters, thirteen fish and two dogs) who, having yet to learn the value of productive diversity relations, fight non-stop.
