Thank you for your interest in serving on the Ohio State Council of SHRM. The State Director position with a 2022-2023 term is open and there is a need to reopen the nomination process.
The Ohio SHRM State Council is seeking candidates for its open positions which include:

Election Process and Timeline:
Below is the timeline for the upcoming election/nomination process for the above-mentioned positions on the Ohio SHRM State Council for 2022.
Nominating Committee: Per the bylaws section C part (4) the State Director shall appoint a (3) person nominating committee from among the persons who have served at least one (1) year on the Governing Body no later than the second State Council meeting in an election year.
At least one (1) member of this nominating committee shall be the sitting, or former State Director. The nominating committee will present a slate of candidates of no less than one (1) and no more than three (3) individuals.
Nominations:
Open: September 20, 2021
Closes: September 27, 2021
September 20, 2021: Job Postings/Link to Apply are placed on OSC website by Director (Julie Doyle) via Technology Director (Mike Medoro). Interested parties apply online HERE to express their interest in being nominated.
Review of Applications:
September 27, 2021 thru October 5, 2021: Online applications will be reviewed by Nominating Committee Chair (as designated by State Director – Julie Doyle); Review Applicants’ skills and qualifications; Nominating Committee Chair and executive committee provide input. All nominated State Council positions will be determined by the State Council Director per the Council's bylaws.
Interviews:
The week of October 6, 2021 thru October 14, 2021: Chair sets up informational interview with Nominating Committee and each applicant; Nominating Chair prepares ballot with Technology Director.
Ballot:
The ballot will be open October 15, 2021 and closes October 22, 2021. State Council Voting Members vote online.
Notifications:
The week of October 22, 2021: Chair notifies Director of the election results; Director contacts winning nominee to officially notify them of election results. Director contacts all nominees who were not elected to notify them of results. The week of October 22, 2021 Director announces election results to the Council's members.
