Martine J. Scheuermann, SPHR is presently employed as director, human resources for CSA International, a division of CSA Group, a Canadian-based organization. CSA Group is the leading edge global provider of integrated services for standards development, product certification and testing, inspection and management systems registration. She is responsible for the human resource function for the 700-employee international operation. She was previously employed by CSA from 1988 to 1999, and returned in July 2006. Scheuermann earned a bachelor?s degree in business administration from The Ohio State University. She has been a member of SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) since 1988, an organization where she has held several volunteer leadership positions on a local and state level, including Cleveland SHRM chapter president, state council secretary, state council director, state conference committee, and chair of the Northern Ohio Human Resource Charity Golf Classic. She holds a lifetime certification as senior professional in human resources. She has been published on two occasions in the Journal of Compensation and Benefits. Her previous work experience includes positions in human resources with The Millcraft Paper Company, ATX Communications (formerly CoreComm), and Boykin Management Company (management of Marriott hotel properties). Martine is very active in activities outside of her profession, including volunteering as a junior high youth group advisor and Colorado trip advisor for her church; she is also a member of the Chagrin Valley Rotary Club where she presently serves as a Board member responsible for membership.
