Definition of Workforce Readiness

WR advocates advance the HR issues of work preparedness for all Ohio population through a strategic alliance between business and education. This alliance includes contact with school systems (middle, high, college), community action groups (work/job related, scouting, Junior Achievement), businesses, chambers of commerce, political and economic leaders.

Our mission is to insure that today and tomorrow's workforce has the skills, competencies and behaviors in order to succeed in today's and tomorrow's workplace. We will do this by understanding WR issues in our state, communicating WR issues to SHRM chapters and make a difference through chapter initiatives such as grants, speaker's bureaus, member outreach, political agendas and education.
